Google: Blood Rider / Call Me Blood

Winner, 2021 Webby, Best Branded Documentary

Creative Lead on this documentary film project following blood delivery drivers in Nigeria for Google Brand Studio that launched in July 2020.

Two films came out of this project: Blood Rider, a 17 minute short documentary festival cut  and Call Me Blood, a 7 minute branded documentary that amassed 4 million views in the first month.

Blood Rider premiered at the Tribeca We Are One Film Festival in June 2020, was acquired by the New Yorker Documentary, is a Vimeo Staff Pick and Short of the Week, and has been awarded by Energa Camerimage and World Press Photo.

In addition to winning the 2021 Webby, Call Me Blood is a finalist for a 2021 One Show Pencil, and has been nominated for two Brand Film Awards.

In addition, we created an editorial story, social campaign, film festival Q&A sessions, distribution strategy, and all promotional materials for both films.

Team included April Hayes (Co-Creative Lead), Jon Kasbe (Director), and David Bolen (Director of Photography).
