I spent the first 6 years of my creative career working on IBM at Ogilvy New York, at the birth of e-business. It was an incredibly exciting time in advertising in NYC, and I consider it my formal training in how to think, write and partner stratgically with clients - learning from the best of them, including Chris Wall and Steve Hayden.
Our pod was a small, tight knit, crazy talented group of creative misfits, many of whom went on to become big names in tech advertising.
Here’s a small sampling of the work I did as a writer there. (These TV spots are so dated now - but funny to watch in hindsight. The hard drives!)
It was a really, really fun time. We smoked in our offices.
